Louis-Constantin Detouche ran the watchmaking business of his father, Georges Detouche. In 1830, he moved to 158-160 rue Saint-Martin and specialized in precision clocks, scientific instruments such as regulators , and jewelry. Having acquired land in Villemomble, he became mayor of this commune.He is buried in the old cemetery of Villemomble”.
