A stunning late 18th. century burr walnut Dutch armoire of linen press. Of Bombe form and having an intricate shaped cornice with centre carved vase stand.The beautifully shaped burr walnut panelled doors open to reveal a fitted interior with shelved storage space with 2 drawers below, a further shelf with 3 drawers each having brass axe head handles. The base has three large shaped and cock beaded drawers which retain the original brass handles and provide ample storage space. The canted stiles leading to the shaped frieze and the whole stands on carved claw and ball feet. Condition - Very good with working locks & keys. Dimensions:- Height...90’’/ 228.5cm.
