A late 19th century finely crafted Amphora acid-etched claret decanter.
This piece has been acid-etched with various designs including a ball decoration & Greek key pattern. It also depicts vases of flowers entwined with an anthemion design.
John Northwood II invented an etching machine around 1860 and this produced geometric designs, particularly that of the Greek key pattern.
This item is in very good condition with no chips or damage.
