Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

An Atmos clock is a mechanical timepiece designed to run perpetually without manual winding or electrical power, driven by a hermetically sealed capsule containing a combination of liquid and gas that expands and contracts with small changes in ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure.

Standard Atmos clocks are constructed from solid brass cases, often plated in gold or nickel, fitted with precision-cut bevelled glass panels to display the internal brass movement and balance wheel mechanism.

Authentic models feature manufacturer stamps on the dial or movement plate, a stamped serial number located on top of the movement frame, precise maker branding on the casing, and the characteristic expansion chamber fitted to the rear of the mechanism.

A brass desk or mantel clock is typically placed on a minimalist mantelpiece, executive office desk, or sideboard top, where its metallic finish and visible mechanical movement serve as a structural focal point.

The clock must be kept on a stable, perfectly level surface away from direct heat sources, and the balance wheel lock mechanism should always be engaged prior to moving or transporting the casing.
