This pair of Edwardian wine goblets originates from England around 1910 during the period of King George V. The lead crystal vessels comprise large round funnel bowls with broad frosted lower sections, striking bands of Greek key engraving, barley-twist stems, and conical feet with polished pontils in clear and white colourations. The distinct contrast between the frosted lower bowls and the crisp wheel engraving defines the appearance. Measuring 18.2 cm in height, these wine glasses are suited for display on a sideboard top in a dining room or living area today. They bring period character to formal dining settings or glass collections.

Edwardian glassware from the early 20th century typically featured neoclassical motifs such as Greek key borders, delicate etching, frosted or satin finishes, and intricate spiral or air-twist stems, balancing Victorian technical craft with lighter decorative proportions.

Pieces from this era were hand-blown using lead glass or crystal. Features such as Greek key borders were produced using wheel engraving or acid etching, while stems were hand-twisted and fused to circular blown bases.

Authentic period stemware often shows minor hand-crafting variations between paired items, wear marks along the basal rim, slight pontil marks under the foot, and period-appropriate geometric or floral acid-etched patterns.

These goblets can be styled on a dining room sideboard, arranged inside a glass display cabinet, or set on a drinks cart to provide geometric pattern and historical glassware detail to modern dining spaces.

Hand wash stemware individually in lukewarm water using mild detergent. Avoid dishwasher exposure to prevent glass clouding and heat stress, then dry immediately with a soft microfibre cloth.
