Description

Fine quality Georgian bracket clock by Thomas Howard of London.

The pad top case in figured mahogany with brass insets to the fronts and brass fishscale sound frets to the sides, standing on brass feet. Convex glass door to the front with working lock and key, painted 8" dial with Roman numeral chapter and signed with the makers name. Double fusee, eight day movement strikes the hours on a bell, the door to the back with glass insert shows the attractively engraved backplate and quality mechanism.

With normal marks / scuffs wear etc commensurate with age and use and some damage to the edge of the back door, otherwise this fine quality clock is in good working order, keeping good time.
