Vintage 3.66 Carat Unheated Ceylon Sapphire Ring, Circa 1950

Description

An impressive vintage sapphire ring, centred with a chunky 3.66 carat oval cut sapphire certified as natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon (Sri Lanka). The sapphire is held in a 10 claw coronet collet between raised shoulders set with 10 (five each side) eight-cut diamonds, to a slim 18k yellow gold shank.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the sapphire shows no indications of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.

Cut:  Oval cut sapphire and eight-cut diamonds.

Colour:  The diamonds range from H to I.

Clarity:  The sapphire is included. The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.

Carat:  The sapphire is 3.66 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.05 carat.

Circa:  1950.

Size:  M 1/2 (UK) or 6 1/4 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:  The sapphire 9.3 x 7.3mm. Sits 5.7mm from the finger.

Weight:  3.42 grams.

Metal:  18k yellow gold. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
