Late 20th Century 2.80 Carat Ceylon Purple Sapphire & Diamond Ring

Description

An impressive statement ring featuring a natural, unheated Ceylon purple sapphire. The glowing centre stone – fully certified – is rubover set in milgarined white gold and surrounded by two rows of incredibly white, incredibly bright, incredibly clean round brilliant cut diamonds – the inner row featuring 16 stones, the outer set with 24. The beautiful vented under-gallery allows maximum light to pass through the gems. A bold beauty.

The ring has been retrofit with a hinged shank, designed to go over inflamed knuckles. The band can be replaced with something more orthodox if you prefer.

Accompanied by a report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.

Cut – Cushion cut sapphire and round brilliant cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are E to F.

Clarity – The sapphire is eye clean. The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.

Carat – The sapphire is approximately 2.80 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.60 carat.

Size – U (UK) or 10 1/4 (US). The current band cannot be sized, so if you need the ring altered we would replace the shank entirely. This would be included in the price, but please contact us prior to ordering.

Measurements – The sapphire is approximately 9.4 x 6.1mm. The head of the ring is 23 x 19.6mm and sits 9.3mm from the finger.

Metal – 18k white gold. Tested.
