Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester porcelain refers to ceramics produced between 1813 and 1840. The period is characteristically known for exceptional soft-paste porcelain, intricate hand-painted reserves depicting natural history or topographical views, and heavy, burnished gilding over rich ground glazes such as cobalt blue and apple green.

These decorative pieces were crafted from fine soft-paste porcelain or bone china body, decorated with hand-applied mineral enamels and liquid honey gilding, before being fired multiple times to fix the colours and glaze.

Authentic pieces frequently bear impressed marks such as FBB under a crown, or script painted marks on the underside referencing the London showroom addresses. Additionally, the quality of the micro-painted enamelling and thick, tooled gilding helps differentiate period originals from later reproductions.

A pair of ornamental porcelain vases functions effectively as symmetrical accents on a fireplace mantelpiece, console table, or dining room sideboard. Positioned against neutral walls or rich panelling, the deep glazes and gilding provide visual structure and classic ornamentation.

Clean ornamental porcelain using a dry, soft microfiber cloth or a soft camel-hair brush to remove dust. Avoid using water, detergents, or chemical cleaners, as moisture and abrasion can strip sensitive overglaze enamels and gilding over time.
