P A Oxley Antique Clocks & Barometers has dated this Antique Oak Longcase Clock to the Georgian era.
Featuring an 8 day movement and striking the hours on a bell.
Also with brass spandrels to each corner, blued steel hands and the makers name on a cartouche.

The light coloured oak case is typical of the period and the Home Counties area. The hood displays attached pillars with wooden capitals, a caddy top to the hood and blind fretwork. The trunk features a long door and stands on a plain base with a double plinth. C.1775
An excellent example.
Note. Being a recent new arrival this clock will require a full service to the movement and some minor restorations to the case will also need to be carried out before delivery. Please contact us if you are interested in this clock.
