Victorian Brass Framed Lead Glass Lantern

Description

A superb Victorian brass framed hall lantern with the original coloured leaded glass c.1880. Square form with brass frame and fretted apron to the base and top. Tubular brass supporting frame with embossed finish above and below the lantern, plus supporting tube to the original brass ceiling mount. The leaded glass in tones of red, greens, blues and copper, along with a clear cut glass panels to the centre of each side. Presented in original condition as purchased; wiring or polishing of the frame can be carried out for a small extra charge if the purchaser wishes. The hanging tube can also be removed to reduce height. Overall height including hanging tube is 40". Keep up to date via our Instagram channel - sturmansantiques.
