A rare set of three Victorian amethyst glass wine serving bottles dating to c1860.
Each bottle is of elegant shouldered form with a tall drawn neck and string rim.

Sets of coloured serving bottles were a fashionable feature of the Victorian dining table, providing both practical service and decorative impact. Amethyst glass was particularly prized for its depth of colour and ability to catch the light, making it one of the most attractive coloured tablewares of the period.
