Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Originating in seventeenth-century England, bracket clocks were portable table clocks powered by springs rather than long weights. By the Victorian era, they were frequently placed on mantelpieces or side tables, featuring wood cases embellished with carved details and precision brass movements.

Victorian bracket clocks were constructed using dense hardwoods such as flame mahogany or walnut for the outer case. The internal clockwork mechanisms were crafted from cast brass and steel, while dials were executed in silvered brass or enamel protected by glass.

Authentic nineteenth-century bracket clocks feature hand-carved wood details, heavy cast brass bezels, and original mechanical movements. Dials often carry the engraved name and location of the original clockmaker or retailer.

Place a bracket clock centrally on a stone fireplace mantelpiece, a dark wood console table, or a library bookshelf. Combining classic horological items with clean modern lines creates visual contrast within minimalist or transitional spaces.

Position the clock on a level surface away from direct heat sources and sunlight to prevent wood shrinkage or dial fading. Key-wind the mechanism consistently according to its movement cycle and arrange professional horological servicing every five to seven years.
