An impressive antique Bohemian cobalt glass decanter produced for the luxury Persian Qajar market during the late nineteenth century. Decorated with finely painted enamel portrait medallions of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar, it represents the type of prestigious luxury object commissioned by aristocratic and royal patrons during a period of growing cultural exchange between Central Europe and Persia.The deep cobalt body is enriched with lavish raised gilding, hand-chased foliate ornament and delicate enamel decoration.
