Description

A striking Japanese larder cupboard crafted from richly toned Japanese elm (keyaki), presented in excellent antique condition. The tall doors are fitted with finely carved geometric lattice panels and retain their original metal handles. Opening the doors reveals a wonderfully organised interior: a central square niche framed by an arrangement of shelves of varying sizes, ideal for storing tea, condiments, ceramics, or everyday household items. Below sit six drawers, each fitted with decorative metal butterfly‑shaped backplates with pull handles. The exterior wood has a warm, polished finish, and the cupboard stands on straight legs with shaped corner brackets. A versatile and decorative piece, perfect for use as a kitchen larder, drinks cabinet, linen store, or a statement cupboard in any hallway or living space.
