An extremely fine quality Chippendale period 18th Century Mahogany Secretaire Bookcase of outstanding colour and patina having wonderfully figured flame Mahogany veneers. The dental cornice sits above classical arcaded freeze with 13 pane doors below, fitted with a secretaire draw made in solid Ceder. The cupboards opening to reveal three Ceder trays, sitting on the original well shaped ogee bracket feet.
The handles and hinges are all original and keys work all locks. The piece is in exceptional condition throughout with all original backboards unusually also made in Ceder.
We were very pleased to find it, having such colour and being of rare small proportions, its very pleasing on the eye.
