Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Art Deco emerged in France during the 1910s and flourished internationally throughout the 1920s and 1930s, characterised by sleek geometric shapes, streamlined forms, and the use of luxurious materials.

Art Deco furniture typically utilises exotic hardwoods and fine veneers such as birdseye maple, walnut, and mahogany, often applied over a sturdy softwood or hardwood core, featuring curved silhouettes and clean joinery.

Authentic pieces are identified by characteristic features such as geometric symmetry, curved waterfall edges, distinct veneer grain patterns, traditional hand-finished polish, and period-accurate construction methods.

An Art Deco bookcase serves as a striking focal point when paired with minimalist contemporary furniture, allowing the distinctive wood grain and curved lines to stand out without visual clutter.

Preserve vintage wood furniture by keeping it out of direct sunlight, maintaining stable indoor humidity levels, dusting regularly with a soft dry cloth, and occasionally applying appropriate natural wax polish.
