An early 19th-century Welsh oak low linen press cupboard, also known as a Carmarthen coffer. Constructed in solid oak with a rich, deep patina. The upper section is fitted with a pair of panelled cupboard doors enclosing a shelved interior. The doors feature simple Gothic-arched panel detailing, typical of Welsh vernacular furniture of the period. Below, the base comprises a well-balanced arrangement of five drawers, fitted with turned knobs and retaining their original escutcheons.
