A superb vintage engagement ring. The old European cut diamond in the centre has been graded by the GIA as H colour, VS1 clarity which is incredibly high quality for an antique diamond: glowingly white and absolutely dancing with fire and brilliance. The stone is secured in an eight-claw platinum ''rex'' collet, leading to a slim 18k yellow gold shank with tapering shoulders.
