An Art Deco ring in platinum, dating from circa 1940. The piece displays a geometric cluster design set in silver and blue, centred on a transitional cut diamond of approximately 0.90 carat with VS2 clarity and G colour. Surrounding the centre stone is a stepped arrangement containing baguette cut blue sapphires alongside eight-cut diamonds. Millegrain borders edge the geometric sections, accompanied by single larger round stones mounted on the shoulders and a slender band. The head of the ring measures 20.4 x 19.1mm and sits 6.6mm from the finger, with an overall weight of 5.64 grams and a UK size of O 1/2 or US size of 7 1/4. Platinum construction supports the arrangement of stones, complete with an independent jewellery report from WGI. The design incorporates distinct angular tiers and alternating rows of dark blue sapphires and colourless diamonds, creating a structured, architectural silhouette. Suitable for daily wear as a cocktail or engagement ring, the piece integrates into contemporary wardrobes seeking period accessories. The structure rests comfortably on the hand while providing significant visual presence through its multi-layered stone layout.

Art Deco jewellery, prominent from the 1920s into the 1940s, is characterised by geometric shapes, linear symmetry, architectural forms, and bold contrast through mixed gemstones like diamonds and sapphires.

Rings from this period were predominantly crafted in platinum or white gold, utilizing brilliant or old European-cut diamonds alongside calibre-cut sapphires and millegrain edge details.

Authentic pieces exhibit hand-cut calibre gemstones fitted precisely into channel settings, hand-applied millegrain embellishments, geometric step borders, and period-appropriate metal marks.

A geometric Art Deco cluster ring functions as a refined statement piece, pairing well with minimal modern tailoring, monochrome palettes, or formal evening attire.

Preserve the setting by cleaning with warm water, gentle dish soap, and a soft brush, avoiding aggressive chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners that may disturb channel-set accent stones.
