This 1930 Art Deco ring is formed of platinum, sapphire, and diamond in blue and silver colours. The geometric setting holds a central rectangular step-cut blue sapphire flanked by triangular side stones and eighteen pavé-set eight-cut diamonds. Milgrain detailing ornaments the edges alongside pierced decoration on the tapering shoulders. The interior surface of the shank bears a clear hallmark. The setting width is 0.95 cm with a setting height of 0.47 cm, and the ring is size M in the UK and 6 in the USA. This piece is worn on the hand as a personal accessory for engagements, anniversaries, or significant birthdays.

Art Deco jewellery from the 1930s is defined by bold geometric forms, symmetrical arrangements, and contrasting gemstone combinations. Platinum was the predominant metal used, paired with vibrant precious stones like sapphires and diamonds to create architectural motifs.

1930s rings frequently utilised platinum for its strength and neutral backdrop, set with precious gemstones such as sapphires, emeralds, and diamonds. Settings often featured hand-engraved details, geometric step-cutting, and milgrain border embellishments.

Authentic 1930s pieces typically display platinum purity hallmarks, period-accurate stone cuts like step cuts or Old European cuts, and fine geometric metalwork. Wear patterns consistent with age and hand-crafted milgrain edging also indicate period authenticity.

A classic Art Deco dress ring serves as a focal piece alongside minimalist modern tailoring or neutral formal wear. The crisp geometric lines allow it to pair seamlessly with contemporary platinum or white gold bands.

Clean the ring gently using a soft brush, warm water, and mild detergent to preserve the setting. Store the piece individually in a lined jewellery box to prevent diamonds from scratching adjacent gemstones or metalwork.
