Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco jewellery, prominent from 1920 to 1935, is defined by bold geometric shapes, clean linear symmetry, and contrast. Jewelers frequently utilized platinum, diamonds, and vibrant coloured gemstones like sapphires in angular cuts and stylized settings.

1920s rings predominantly featured platinum or white gold to create a clean, silvery finish that emphasized gem colour. Settings often relied on delicate claws, bezel edges, and geometric orientations such as setting square stones on point.

Authentic pieces usually exhibit hand-finished details, hallmarking appropriate to the period, precise geometric cutting, and platinum settings. Natural sapphires from this era may also display characteristic internal inclusions visible under magnification.

A minimalist single-stone sapphire solitaire functions as a versatile accent for both daily tailored wear and formal evening attire. Its geometric profile pairs seamlessly alongside contemporary platinum or white gold bands.

Clean the ring gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush to remove dust from behind the setting. Avoid harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners if the setting integrity or gemstone condition has not been professionally verified.
