19th Century Scandinavian Painted Pine Double Door Cupboard

Description

19th century scandinavian painted small sideboard circa 1870.

Good example of a practical antique providing many uses around the home, being shallow in depth it lends itself perfectly to being used in a hallway or smaller spaces.

Rectangular top with moulded edge and a 2 inch gallery around the back and sides, detailed with a dentil shaped design just below the top surface. Double door cupboard with fielded panelled fronts, working lock and key, opens to reveal a interior of 2 fixed shelves. Fitted with carrying handles to the sides, all standing on 4 shaped bracket feet.

Later paint, which has since taken on a faded appearance, wearing through to the bare pine in places, righthand door with evidence of very minor age related warping, but does shut and lock as normal. Minor surface fading to paintwork.
