A gilt dial with engine turned dial centre and ''moon'' blued steel hands. A single fusee mechanism of 8-day duration signed ''Barwise London'' to the back plate. A heavy pendulum bob with finer pendulum adjustment. Circa 1825.John Barwise is recorded as working in London from circa 1790. He was a fine maker of clocks, chronometers and watches.
