Art Deco timepieces are characterised by geometric forms, stylised architectural motifs often inspired by skyscrapers, and a sleek combination of modern industrial metals like chrome with traditional woods such as walnut.

Manufacturers frequently combined exotic or polished hardwoods like walnut, mahogany, or burr elm with polished chrome, nickel, brass, and silvered metal dials to achieve a high-contrast luxury aesthetic.

Authentic pieces typically feature period-appropriate mechanical movements, genuine material patination, traditional hand-stamped serial numbers or makers marks, and construction techniques consistent with interwar manufacturing.

Position the piece on a clean-lined surface such as a marble mantelpiece, sideboard, or minimalist desk to let its strong geometric silhouette serve as a focal point among modern furnishings.

Dust the wooden casing gently with a dry, soft microfiber cloth and maintain the polished metal elements with specialised non-abrasive cleaners, avoiding excessive moisture or direct sunlight.
