19th Century Glass Preserve Pickle Jar C1880

Technical Description
 
A 19th-century pickle jar with its original hollow stopper with red ruby flashed vine decoration. It has a wide neck, with a slice cut body, which has a continuous ruby flashed spiralling vine around the body. Polished base.
 
A fantastic item that is just as practical today as it was in the 19th century.
 
Date & Origin
 
England, c1880. Period of Victoria.
 
Condition
 
Excellent, age-related wear as shown. Some nibbles to the base of the stopper peg and some scratches to the base as shown. No other chips, cracks, or restoration.
