Antique long case clock by David Peters of Arbroath c1830
 
The swan neck pediment with applied brass roundels above an arched painted dial with Roman and Arabic chapters and subsidiary seconds and calendar dials, the arch painted with a scene,of lovers in traditional Scottish dress before a castle, each soandreel decorated with figures bearing attributes of each of the four home nations flanked by reeded twisted columns, the trunk with a shaped door flanked by gadrooned quarter columns, on a plinth base and bracket feet; the eight-day, twin chain movement striking a bell.
