FAQs

Chinese porcelain has a lineage spanning thousands of years, evolving through various dynasties known for advancements in kiln technology, glazing techniques, and cobalt or enamel decoration.

Authentic items are crafted from high-fired kaolin clay, glazed with natural mineral pigments, and fired in high-temperature kilns to achieve durable, vitrified surfaces.

Authentication relies on examining base wear, glaze consistency, iron impurities, underglaze pigment depth, and evaluating reign marks against known historical exemplars.

Displaying the piece as a sculptural focal point on a minimalist console or mantelpiece allows the intricate polychrome details and form to stand out against neutral backdrops.

Keep items out of direct sunlight, dust gently with a soft dry brush, and avoid using chemical cleaning agents or submerging unglazed portions in water.
