Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Designed in the early twentieth century, the Blossom pattern (also known as Pattern No. 21 or Magnolia) was created by Georg Jensen in 1905. It reflects the Danish Sknvirke style, combining Art Nouveau naturalistic motifs with functional metalwork.

Authentic pieces are predominantly constructed from sterling silver, containing 925 parts per thousand of pure silver mixed with alloy for structural integrity. Traditional manufacturing techniques included hand-hammering to yield a characteristic subtle surface texture.

Authentic items feature stamped makers marks, including variations of the Georg Jensen initials or name inside an oval or beaded border, alongside silver standard hallmarks such as 925S or STERLING and specific design pattern numbers.

Small silver serving implements can be displayed on a mirrored or lacquer bar tray alongside crystal glassware, integrated into table settings for appetizers, or presented in original fitted packaging on open shelving.

Silver pieces should be washed gently in warm water with mild soap, dried thoroughly with a soft cloth, and polished periodically using specialized silver polish to prevent oxidisation and tarnish accumulation.
