Robert Belcher Antiques has dated these Bohemian Enamelled Glass Goblets to the 1860s.
Above is a hollow bulbous knop with applied shells and a fluted ring top and bottom forming the stem. The vessel is tall and slenderly tapered from the gilt rim down to the stem and is painted to a superbly high standard. Each goblet has a pair of medieval musicians, both playing their instruments. The vibrance of this thick enamel in such a rich palette of colours is amazing. Around each pair of figures is a foliate white and red enamelled wreath matching the work around the foot. These are an outstanding pair of goblets, circa 1860.
