A superb Royal Worcester porcelain vase, featuring finely pierced shoulders and exquisitely hand-painted pheasants in a rural landscape by noted Worcester artist Jack Southall.

This elegant vase is fully decorated in the round, showcasing Southall’s delicate brushwork and mastery of naturalistic detail. The pheasants are captured in a pastoral setting, surrounded by softly rendered trees and golden hues, typical of Royal Worcester’s golden era of decoration.

The pierced shoulders add an architectural quality to the piece, giving it both texture and depth, while the smooth curves and balanced proportions reflect the sophistication of late 19th to early 20th-century Worcester design.

Marked to the bottom for 1909, shape number H991, signed by the artist.
