A rare and exceptionally large Royal Worcester porcelain vase, crafted in 1890 during the height of the Victorian era. This striking baluster-form vase stands at an impressive 41 cm, making it considerably larger than most examples of its type. The generous proportions, hand-painted decoration, and finely modelled details reflect the highest standards of Royal Worcester production during the Aesthetic Movement.The body is decorated in vibrant multicoloured enamels with a chrysanthemum motif on an ivory ground, a palette and composition inspired by the Japonisme trend that defined much of the late 19th-century decorative arts. The soft background is further enriched with raised gilding and delicate white enamel jewelling to the neck and handles.The sculptural pierced handles are finished in rich gold and show losses from age-related wear, but still retain their visual impact.
