n Extremely Attractive And Very Good Quality 18th Century, George III, Chippendale Period Mahogany Bedside Night Table, Or Pot Cupboard, Having Well Figured Galleried Top With Attractive Pierced Decoration, Over Two Cupoard Doors Enclosing Storage Space, Raised On Elegant Square Taperd Legs Terminating On Original Spade Feet.
This is a great quality, elegant, example of an 18th century georgian bedside pot cupboard. The table is constructed from good quality mahogany timber and boasts real elegance to its unusual design. We describe the design as unusual as its more common for these little cupboards to just have one wide single door, as opposed to the double doors which feature in this example. We think it really adds to the overall look of the piece.
As the name suggests it is perfect for alongside a bed, however there are also many other spots around the home it could be useful for, including the hallway, in the corner of a living room, or dining room etc.
The overall condition is very good indeed. Of course there are minor signs of historic use but it is certainly in very good condition overall and also helpfully it stands nice and level and is sturdy, meaning that it is very much fit for purpose.
As with all items which we offer for sale this item has been inspected by our traditional antique furniture restorers in our workshops and received a natural wax polish before being listed for sale.
