N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this piece to the 1900s.
These truly are a stunning pair of cabinets which are made from ash with lovely grain and are not only practical but are lovely quality. Unfortunately the photographs do not do any justice to the lovely colour of these cabinets.
To the front and sides of the edge of the top of the cabinets is nicely shaped and there is a nice little upstand to the rear. Below this there are four graduated drawers which have been nicely reeded and have superbly shaped chunky brass handles. The drawers are flanked by nice reeded detailing. The cabinets are then raised on a plinth base.
These can be used as a bed side cabinet or would equally look wonderful as a pair of lamp stands or side tables with the added benefit of storage. These are not only practical but will add an air of elegance to your room.
As can be seen from the photographs these are lovely pieces of furniture.
