An exceptional pair of antique French inlaid walnut marble top bedside cabinets. They were made in France, they date from around the 1870–1890’s.

The quality is incredible, they are probably the finest example of antique French bedside cabinets we have ever come across. They are beautifully made from walnut, with stunning grain patterns throughout. There is fine banding around the drawer fronts, there is also beautiful inlaid floral marquetry on the door fronts. They have beautiful rouge marble tops which are fixed in place, there are also extremely high quality ormolu mounts on the doors and upper corners. The interiors are also nicely fitted out, in one cabinet there is a tambour fronted section with a porcelain lined interior.

We have had these recently re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb.
