Technical Description
 
An 18th-century bonnet glass with a hexagonal moulded Ogee bowl. A rudimentary stem with a conical foot and snapped pontil. A fine example.
 
Hexagonal moulding is rare on a bonnet glass, the vast majority being diamond or honeycomb moulded.
 
Date & Origin
 
England, c1780. Period of George III.
 
Condition
 
Excellent, no chips cracks or restoration

Rim diameter: 6.2cm
 
Foot diameter: 5.3cm.
 
Historical Relevance
 
Hand-blown around the time King Louis XV disbanded French parliament on the 9th of May 1753.
