Art Nouveau glassware is characterised by organic forms, fluid asymmetrical lines, and motifs inspired by natural elements such as flowers, vines, and insects.

Artisans typically utilised free-blowing, mould-blowing, and hot-worked applied decorations, frequently incorporating metallic oxides into the batch to achieve rich coloration.

Authentication relies on examining pontil marks on the base, minor manufacturing irregularities such as tiny air bubbles, and characteristic wear patterns consistent with age.

Position the piece on a reflective surface or near natural light to accentuate the transparency and colour of the glass, either displayed alone as a sculptural object or holding single botanical stems.

Clean the item gently using lukewarm water and mild soap, avoiding harsh chemicals, ultrasonic cleaners, and extreme temperature fluctuations to protect the fragile material.
