Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A rolling moon longcase clock is a tall, floor-standing pendulum clock featuring an integrated lunar phase dial above the main clock face. Popularised in the eighteenth century, the rotating moon disc visually tracks the lunar cycle alongside standard timekeeping.

Georgian longcase clock cabinets were primarily constructed from solid native woods such as oak, often veneered or crossbanded with imported mahogany, walnut, or fruitwoods. Dials were crafted from painted sheet iron or engraved brass with cast brass spandrels.

Authentic Georgian longcase clocks typically feature hand-drawn or painted dials, weight-driven movements with hand-forged iron components, and period cabinet construction details such as hand-cut dovetails, original trunk door locks, and swan-neck pediments.

Position a longcase clock as an architectural focal point in a hallway, dining room, or library to add historical texture. Pairing dark timber horological pieces with neutral wall finishes and minimalist contemporary furnishings creates an engaging visual contrast.

Maintain the timber cabinet by dusting regularly with a soft cloth and applying beeswax periodically to preserve the patina. Horological mechanical movements require professional lubrication and servicing every five to seven years to ensure smooth pendulum movement.
