Cross Antiques has dated this piece to the Regency era.
The case is of typical London design in nicely figured mahogany. It has a long moulded door and paneled base.
It has a good quality single train "A" frame movement. It has an attractive silvered dial signed by the maker and numbered 258. It has slim original blued steel hands and a large seconds dial. The original heavy pendulum has a calibrated regulation nut. It also has it's original brass cased weight.
The case looks to have been recently restored and is now in good condition. It does have the usual signed of age and use you would expect from a 200 year old clock.
The movement looks to have recently been serviced, is running well and keeping good time.
