Phoenix Ware was a trade name used by Thomas Forester & Sons, a prominent pottery manufacturer based in Staffordshire, England, operating primarily during the late Victorian era from the late 19th century onwards.

These pieces are crafted from fine earthenware or porcelain, shaped using traditional moulding techniques, and hand-finished with intricate hand-painted floral motifs overlaid with extensive gilding.

Authenticity is typically verified by examining the base for specific makers marks, impressed or printed backstamps bearing the Phoenix Ware trade name or Thomas Forester initials, alongside typical late 19th-century stylistic characteristics.

They can be displayed as statement decorative objects on a mantelpiece, sideboard, or console table, adding a touch of historical contrast and metallic warmth to minimalist or transitional modern schemes.

Preserve these items by dusting gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid submerging in water or using chemical cleaning agents, as harsh solvents can damage the delicate historical gilding and enamel paintwork.
