An Imari style porcelain garniture is a matching set of ornamental vases and jars, typically comprising three jars with covers and two beakers, designed in the traditional Japanese palette of underglaze blue, iron red, and gilt.

Samson of Paris utilised hard-paste porcelain painted by hand with traditional mineral pigments and gilt detailing, often replicating earlier eighteenth century Japanese and Chinese export designs.

Authenticity is determined by examining the paste, glaze characteristics, pigment application, and specific pseudo-marks or Samson maker signatures applied to the base of the ceramic pieces.

A garniture set can be arranged symmetrically along a large mantelpiece, atop a substantial sideboard, or displayed within a glass-fronted cabinet as a focal decorative feature.

Antique porcelain should be dusted gently with a soft dry brush and cleaned infrequently using lukewarm water and mild soap, avoiding harsh chemicals, abrasive sponges, and immersion of pieces with repaired sections.
