Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Royal Bonn refers to pottery produced by the Franz Anton Mehlem manufactory in Bonn, Germany, operating from 1836 until its acquisition by Villeroy & Boch in 1921. The manufactory gained international recognition during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries for its intricate hand-painted designs and Art Nouveau influences.

These pieces were typically crafted from fine earthenware or porcelain, coated with a light glaze, and hand-painted by skilled artisans using enamel pigments before undergoing a final firing. Gilding was frequently applied to the rim and neck to highlight the overall shape.

Authentic examples usually feature a factory backstamp incorporating the initials FM, a crown, and the location name Bonn, along with impressed shape numbers or painted artist signatures. The quality of brushwork on genuine pieces demonstrates precise blending and fine botanical detail.

Position the vase as a standalone feature on a sideboard, mantelpiece, or console table to allow the detailed artwork to serve as a focal point. Pairing the piece with simple wood tones or modern minimal backdrop elements creates a balanced contrast between traditional and contemporary design.

Dust the surface regularly with a dry, soft microfibre cloth, avoiding harsh chemical detergents or immersion in water which can compromise overglaze decoration or gilding. Display the object away from direct sunlight and fluctuating humidity to protect the paintwork.
