A quite stunning pair of Mid Victorian side cabinets of the finest quality. Most likely by Holland and Sons but quite possibly by Lambs of Manchester. Absolutely original and untouched. The finest Amboyna veneers are laid on solid mahogany with harewood crossbanding to the sides and front. The ebonized backdrop sets off the ormolu beadings and corinthian capitals on the side pillars. The Wedgewood Jasper panels are all framed in cast mounts except of the side pillars which are set in ormolu roundels. The front feet also have ormolu bands around their bellies. There is no part of these cabinets where they haven''t gone the extra mile.
