Antique Miniature Single Fusee Shaped Mahogany Mantel Clock J.H. Rose Ramsgate.
Think lovely antique single fusee mantel clock has an unusually small case with a shaped top with a shaped and lovely rich colour. There is then a moulding to the top edge leading to the square body of the case which has inlet front edges as well as shaping to the bottom left and right corners. There is then a further moulding to the base followed by four thin wooden feet.
The dial is then painted and set out in black Roman numerals with a thin ring to the outside marking the minutes. The dial then has two beautifully shaped fingers. The dial is then signed by the maker “J.H. Rose Ramsgate”. Finally the dial is finished by a protective glass set into a shaped brass bezel.
The movement is then wound from the front and accessed from the back. It is ticking away as it should and comes complete with its regulating pendulum and winding key. The movement is then a single fusee example of the upmost quality.
