Description

A very elegant late 19thc French crystal centrepiece vase set into a gilt bronze ormolu base. The crystal centrepiece vase has a fluted shape, the flutes rising from the narrow base to a wide scalloped edge at the top. The bronze base is cast in three tiers each decorated with classical motifs. The base in turn supports an acanthus leaf sheath which holds the base of the vase. The vase is firmly fixed within the sheath. Beautiful quality and in excellent condition.
