17th Century Lakeland Coffer

A rare Lake District Coffer, dated 1692 and initialed D W. The piece is of good colour and condition, standing tall on the original feet.
 
The lovely interwoven carved celtic panels are typical of the region.
 
All boards are original and there is a working key, the hinges are later replacements.
