A GOOD EARLY 18TH CENTURY GREEN CHINOISERIE LONGCASE CLOCK by the London maker John Rowe with 8 day numerals, side chapter ring, in a Chinese green and gold Lacquer decorated case.

7ft 4ins high.

John Rowe worked from 1714-1727 at an address in Gutter Lane, London . From the style of the movement and its engraving, I think this clock dates from the early 1720's
