Description

A very nice burr-walnut bracket clock playing the Westminster-Chime strike on all quarters and the hour. Made by Smiths of Derby ( a highly respected company still in existence), it was made C1950. The model is known as the "Tompion" and was retailed by London retailers Sanders & Co.

The case retains it's original French-polished finish with a gilt brass carrying handle and silk backed brass frets to either side.

Complete with original Smiths winding key and back door locking key. (Always a good sign that has been in careful ownership throughout it's life.)

A square brass dial with silvered chapter ring and black Roman numerals.

The 8 day movement has just been fully serviced by our Bhi registered staff and carries our usual 12mths full parts and labour guarantee.

Fitted with a STRIKE/SILENT facility.

A little gem.
