Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Additional visible details include an angular black handle on the pitcher, swirling abstract enamel decorations across the rim and base sections, and faceted vertical panels that catch the light. The pitcher stands 22 cm high, 16 cm wide, and 11 cm deep, while the glasses measure 14 cm in height and 6 cm in diameter. This matched set serves well for entertaining guests or displaying on a sideboard top in a dining room, living area, or home bar setting.

FAQs

Art Deco glassware from the 1930s is characterised by bold geometric patterns, sharp linear forms, contrasting colour palettes, and streamlined shapes that reflected modern industrial design trends of the era.

Bohemian manufacturers produced glass pieces through blowing or moulding clear or tinted glass, after which artisans applied cold or fired enamel decoration in graphic geometric motifs onto the surface.

Authentic pieces frequently display hand-applied enamel decoration, faceted paneled glass bodies, polished pontil marks or bases, and occasionally stamped or acid-etched marks indicating Czechoslovakian origin.

An Art Deco drinks set can be displayed on a dark wood sideboard, a brass bar cart, or open shelving, where light can pass through the glass to highlight the geometric enamel contrast.

Vintage enamelled glass should be washed by hand using lukewarm water and a mild detergent, avoiding soaking, dishwashers, or abrasive cleaning pads that could wear away the delicate surface decoration.
