This Czech glass perfume bottle dates from the Art Deco period of the 1930s. The piece consists of clear crystal glass shaped into an oval, baluster profile with half-circle relief panels and a flared base, complemented by a large faceted geometric stopper. The surface incorporates contrasting lemon yellow and jet black enamel decoration alongside etched floral motifs of daisies and scrolling stems. The object stands 21 cm high, 10 cm wide, and 10 cm deep. In a modern home, the bottle sits suitably on a bedside table, dressing table, or bathroom shelf to hold scent while adding period character to the room.

Art Deco Czech glass perfume bottles from the 1930s are recognised for their bold geometric silhouettes, sharp faceted hand-cutting, and striking contrast enamelling, often designed by notable glassworks in Northern Bohemia.

These bottles were crafted from heavy lead crystal or glass, shaped using wheel-cutting techniques, and decorated with stained panels, enamel overlays, and acid-etched floral or abstract motifs before receiving a precision ground-glass stopper.

Authentic pieces feature considerable physical weight, precise hand-cut facets, polished bases or pontils, ground stopper joints that fit seamlessly, and high-contrast geometric decoration characteristic of Czechoslovakian workshops.

Display the vessel on a mirrored vanity tray, a polished marble shelf, or a window ledge where natural light highlights the coloured glass, cut facets, and etched surface patterns.

Wash gently with tepid water and mild liquid soap using a soft cloth, avoiding abrasive chemicals or prolonged soaking to ensure the enamel overlays and stained panels remain preserved.
